The Team

The Team that supports the Bishop with the finance and administration of the Diocese are split into three sections:

  • Diocesan Staff are the paid employees of the Diocese responsible for finance, human resources, property, and health and safety.
  • Diocesan Trustees are a group of nine individual volunteers with relevant experience, in addition to our Bishop, who meet quarterly and support the Bishop with the decisions that need to be made regarding the management, responsibilities and accountability of a charity registered with the Charities Commission for England and Wales. They also serve as Statutory Directors of the Arundel & Brighton Diocesan Corporation.
  • Diocesan Finance Committee is a group of seven individuals volunteers with relevant experience who assist the Diocesan Trustees with the management of the financial affairs of the Diocese, with specific reference to the accounts, the budget, and all financial matters relating to the parishes and schools of the Diocese. This group meets nine times per year.
