Personal Assistant to the Diocesan Safeguarding Co-ordinator

Job Description

The Diocese of Arundel and Brighton wishes to recruit a new permanent full-time Personal Assistant to the Safeguarding Co-ordinator based in Hove. This role is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the Safeguarding Co-ordinator and Team.

This includes

  • Overseeing administrative arrangements for the training of Parish Clergy, volunteers and Safeguarding Representatives.
  • Assisting in the delivery of training where appropriate.
  • Administering checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service for all relevant individuals volunteering or holding office in the Diocese.


Based at Bishop's House in Hove and reporting to the Safeguarding Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will have great interpersonal and administrative skills, and the ability to perform a range or secretarial tasks including taking minutes for the Safeguarding Commission.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the success of a key team supporting the life of the Diocese.
